Intepro Systems manufacturing facility in Limerick
Intepro Systems Ltd (formerly Schaffner Ireland Ltd) was established in 2006 following the sale of the Schaffner Test Equipment Division. The company manufactures functional test and design verification systems for power supplies, power components and power modules, as well as life cycle and reliability testers for AC/DC and DC/DC converters, rechargeable batteries and other power electronics components.
Intepro has been a leader in power supply testing solutions for 25 years, supplying customers in the telecoms, military and automotive industries. The company has ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for its Quality Management Systems and employs 20 people between its Limerick manufacturing facility and its sales offices in the US and UK.
Following its emergence from under the Schaffner name, Intepro needed a flexible, user-friendly ERP system to replace the existing legacy MRP custom job shop software system that had been implemented and supported at corporate level. The potential new system had to be capable of supporting Intepro’s custom job shop model and its complex BoM structures as well as allowing multiple suppliers for its 5000 stocked components.
Having reviewed a number of packages and short listed to three, the key decision makers chose M1 for its functionality, ease of use and its customisation capabilities. Following this decision, Intepro went live within 3 months of the initial installation, incorporating the Production, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Multi-Currency Management, Estimating/Quoting, Advanced Inventory Management, Document Management, Advanced Bill of Material and Shop Floor Entry modules for five users.
